Nyssa Racing - 2003 Season!
Last updated 17 October 2003
Another year where we planned to race the Y10, another year where we ended up racing an Alfa Romeo for most of the year. Once again we ended up with 3rd in Class B to show for the season's toils, with a final score of 163 points - 2 of which were scored in the Y10. This year we will be racing a Lancia. We are running a little behind, but it is hoped that the Y10 will be ready in time for the first race of the season. There were plans to have a spare car ready for the start of the season - a Lancia Beta Coupe 1800 - but funds have not allowed this to happen. The race dates for the season are below - the main things to note is that this year we don't go to Silverstone or Lydden (2 of my favourite circuits and places I would expect the Y10 to go well) even though the Alfa Romeo Powermods Alfa series will visit these circuits. This year's new circuit will be the double header at Knockhill in Scotland - that's going to be a long drive for us "Southern Softies". A late cancellation of the round at Cadwell Park means an additional race on August Bank Holiday at Castle Combe - that is a bonus for us as we now have a chance of attending this meet, we were carless and fundless for the original Cadwell Park date. Now read on..... |
